Hülya Aslantaş,
teknik Üniversite 1952 mezun mühendis Akşehirli, babası İstanbul Tıp mezunu doktor ve Adanalı... Ankara'da babısı mecburi hizmetini yaparken Ankara'da evlendiler. babası Suphi Baykam CHP'nde 1957-71 arası aktif görevlerde bulundu.
Hülya Aslantaş , İlkokula Ankara'da başladı. 11 yaşında Almanya'da yatılı okula gitti. Sonra Fransa'da eğitim gördü. İstanbul'da Dame de Sion'u birincilikle bitirdi. AFS bursunu kazanarak Amerika'ya gitti.
1972 yılında, Boğaziçi Üniversitesi"nde işletme öğrenimi görürken, talebelik yıllarında tuzim sektöründe çalışmaya başladı.
18 yaşında iken babası Suphi Baykam'ın yönetim kurulunda yen aldığı turizm şirketine Bogaziçi öğrenci iken genel müdür olarak atandı. Genç yaşta başarmak için çok açlışmaya başladı. Şirkete dinamizm kazandırarak başarılı oldu. Ayrılıp başka şirkette çalıştı ve 1981'de cem Aslantaş'la evlendi.
Böylece turizm sektörüne adım atan Hülya Aslantaş, 1984'te sahibi olduğu Universal Turizm'i kurdu.
Universal Turizm; Amerika'dan Güney Afrika"ya, Avrupa"dan Uzakdoğu"ya kadar özel turist gruplarını ağırlamaktadır. Hülya Aslantaş, turizm şirketini eşiyle birlikte yönetiyor.
1976'da İstanbul Skal kulübüne üye olan Aslantaş, o zaman kulübe yeni yeni alınan bayan üyeler arasında 4"ncü ve en genç kişi olmuştu.
1993 yılında İstanbul'da yapılan SKAL Dünya Kongresi"nde; kongre organizasyon komitesi genel sekreterliği ve 1998 yılına kadar çeşitli kademelerde görevler alan Aslantaş, 4 yıl Konsey meclisinde Türkiye'yi temsil ettikten sonra 2004'te ilk kez ve en yüksek oy ile SKAL İnternational Yönetim Kurulu"na girdi. 2 yıl SKAL İnternational PR ve medyadan sorumlu direktörü olarak görevini yapan Aslantaş, Tayland"da gerçekleştirilen 67. Dünya SKAL Kongresi"nde Dünya Başkan Yardımcısı oldu.
Aynı zamanda, Hülya Aslantaş, 1998- 2000 yıllarında İstanbul Skal Kulübü Başkanlığı"nı yürütürken, 2000-2004 yılları arasında TÜRSAB Yönetim Kurulu Üyeliği yaptı. Hülya Aslantaş, İngilizce, Fransızca ve Almanca biliyor.
2008 yılında Taipei'de yapılan 68.Dünya Kongresi'nde Skal International Dünya Başkanı seçildi.

Başkan seçildikten sonra Skal üyelerine yayınladığı bildiri ise şöyle:

Dear Skålleagues, Friends,

We have just returned from Taipei, Taiwan where we held the 69th World Congress and our Annual

General Assembly. More information and pictures are available on the website and various news channels for those who could not attend this memorable event, but I want to share with you all, right away, some highlights and the latest news.

First of all we would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for the professional organisation

and most friendly welcome extended by the local authorities, Organising Committee and all Taiwanese Skålleagues. I would also like to thank Secretary General, Jim Power and his team for their help and support in the organisation of the congress.

We had the honour of having with us the Minister of Transportation and Communications Mr. Chi-Kuo Mao and the Mayor of Taipei, Mr. Lung-Bin Hau, along with many other prominent guests at the opening Ceremony and Presidential Gala Dinner.

On 14 October 2008, elections for the new Executive Committee were held and I am pleased to introduce to you below your new Executive Committee with their respective portfolios. I would like to extend a warmwelcome on board to Karine Coulanges as the newly elected Director and to congratulate Tony Boyle onhis election as Vice

President:

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our outgoing President, Phillip Sims, for all his dedicated

work during his presidency. Several Clubs, on five continents, had the privilege of welcoming him and

hearing at first hand his valuable thoughts on how we can develop Skål. While we wish Phil more relaxeddays ahead, we hope he will continue assisting us with his wisdom and the wealth of knowledge built up over his years in Office.

Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to all the delegates for electing me as the new leader of theSkål world and I promise to work, hand in hand with you, the members, to further advance Skål

International during my term as President.

As leaders of world tourism, I am confident that we must work very closely together to continue improvingthe standards of our profession, ethics, quality and environment for sustainable development and worldpeace; the two preconditions for healthy growth in the tourism industry.

The world in which we live has and will always face various threats and difficulties, affecting the tourismsector and each of us, individually. In such times we should come even closer to support one another andbenefit from being members of this prestigious organisation which is the first, the largest and the beststructured Association in our industry, founded even before Tourism & Travel was recognised as a

sector.

2009 already promises to be a very exciting year, as we will be celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Skå International and we would like to make this a very special year!

It is my personal wish that each and every one of you stay in close contact with us and follow up and

respond to the various communications that will follow, as neither you or we alone can accomplish much,
